Photo taken at Houndstooth this afternoon.
Austin is littered with coffee shops like this. Free WiFi and delicious, imported, overpriced cups of joe. Spent a few hours there writing to finish up the day. Backwards Fridays continue to serve me well. It’s like a jolt to the system. A soft refresh.
And now the weekend stretches ahead of me like the still waters of a lapis lagoon.
Busy day catching up at work! I’m all out of words for the day. About to fire up last week’s episode of The Orville and relax.
Have a photo of Elsa stealing the recliner instead.
What a diva.
We took a little ride up Mount Washington today, and did some hiking there and also in an area with little waterfalls and placid pools called Diana’s Baths (all part of the White Mountains National Forest).
This area is absolutely breathtaking in Autumn.
The one photo below of the walking path shrouded in fog is from the top of Mt. Washington. It was 30 degrees with high winds and zero visibility up there this morning.
In New Hampshire now, near Intervale. We spent most of the afternoon driving to get here, then walked around the Main Street of a little New Hampshire tourist town called North Conway. It’s beautiful here with the leaves turning. Dinner soon!
